1963 Oil Painting on Panel of Still Life with Flowers

Item Details

A 1963 oil painting on panel by an anonymous artist. The still life piece depicts a vase of pink, red and purple flowers set by a figurine against a neutral-hued background. The unsigned work is dated in red paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging twine to the verso. The frame includes an illegible inscription in red ink to the backing.

- stains, runs and discoloration present throughout painting, especially visible in areas running vertically along left and right sides; scratches and residue present to panel; scratches and scuffing to frame; peeling adhesive and areas of discoloration to frame backing.
