1934 Rookwood Pottery Commemorative Vases
Item Details
A pair of 1934 Rookwood Pottery vases. The matte blue vases were created for the National Conference of Catholic Charities, held in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 7 – 10, 1934. The vases are embossed with a crucifix, mother and child, angel, trees and the words, ‘Deus est caritas’ which means ‘God is charity’. The underside is impressed with ‘National Conference of Catholic Charities Cincinnati’ and the R and P flame monogram followed by the roman numeral ‘XXXIV Oct 7 – 10, 1934’.
Condition
- gentle marks and discolorations with age.
