A signed limited edition offset lithograph on paper after an original painting by well listed British Marine artist John Stobart (England, born 1929), titled Philadelphia: Monlight over the Delaware from the Foot of Walnut Street in 1835. The print depicts boats lining the banks of the Delaware River in Philadelphia at night. Brightly-lit shops line the cobblestone walkway along the water, and the moon casts filtered light onto the scene through striated clouds. Notable ships and landmarks are labeled to the lower edge, where the piece’s title is also printed. The print is signed and numbered 84/950 in graphite to the lower right. It is matted in white with a gold tone fillet and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with gold tone finish and a hanging wire.
