A limited edition carved wooden sculpture titled The Elder by artist Rick Cain. This sculpture depicts the head of an African elephant with extended ears, protruding tusks, and its trunk emerging from a puddle of water. It features intricately carved detailing throughout, creating the appearance of wrinkled elephant skin and is numbered ‘1241/2500’ to the verso. The sculpture is presented atop an oval wooden base and is inscribed with the artist’s signature and dated ‘1986’ to the verso. Affixed to the verso is a gold tone sticker specifying the title, artist, and edition number.
