Two Currier & Ives Hand-colored Lithographs

A pair of hand-colored lithographs titled The Little Sisters and The Little Brothers published by the famous American publishing duo Nathaniel Currier (1813-1888) and James Merritt Ives (1824-1895), known as Currier & Ives. The first depicts two sisters in burgundy dresses and the second depicts two brothers in burgundy suit jackets. Both are adorned with blue bows, standing with their hands entwined before a garden wall covered with flowering climbing vines. Publishing information is printed to the lower margin of each and they are presented behind a white mat, under glass in a simple black wood frame. Each has a wire hanger to the verso.

- toning to prints and mats. Minor wear to frames.
