A mixed media sculpture titled Jeff and His Psyche by Frank Kowing (1944-2016). Depicted is an abstract sculpture constructed of branches, found objects, and acrylic paint. Frank Kowing is an outsider artist based in Maryland with a larger than life reputation, the bulk of his focus being mixed media works, many grand in scale and with three dimensional quality. He has participated in a vast array of group shows and exhibits since his first shows in the 1970s in New York City. His education, after service in Vietnam with the US Army, was extensive and included the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, Netherlands and several fine art institutions in Pennsylvania.
