A chalk pastel drawing on paper of a winter scene, believed to be by listed artist Howard Connolly (1903-1990). This work is rendered with white and bluish grays, and depicts a line of pine trees coated in snow, the powdery ground before them undisturbed by visible footsteps. The piece is unsigned, but includes a signature reading ’ Howard Connolly’ to its verso, and is matted under glass in a silver tone frame with a blue liner and a wire for hanging.
