Five Vintage Empty Candy Bar Boxes
Item Details
A selection of five vintage empty candy containers. The containers are constructed of cardboard and wood. The containers date from the 1940s-1960s and retain their bold and vivid colors. Some of American’s oldest candy brands are included such Hersey, Necco, Klein’s, Palmer, and Peter’s. There are four cardboard boxes with one missing its covering lid. The wood container is difficult to read because the lettering has disappeared over time. This wood candy box is dovetailed and appears to read ’Peter’s.
Condition
The cardboard candy boxes are in good condition with appropriate edge and surface wear. The wood box’s printing is worn and difficult to identify.
Dimensions
The largest box measures 11" wide by 8" tall. The above measurements reflect the size of the cardboard storage box.
