Antique American Oak Fall Front Writing Desk

An antique American oak fall front writing desk. This Art Nouveau influenced writing desk has a C scrolled pediment enclosing a rounded rectangular beveled mirror above a shelf that forms the top of the desk. Below the shelf is the fall front door of the desk which when lowered forms the writing surface and reveals a fitted interior composed of five cubby holes on the left, two drawers and a cubby hole in the center and two holders for journals of books on the right. Below the fall front writing surface is a single drawer centered in the front of the apron with the case resting upon two straight flat legs in the rear and two scrolled flat cabriole legs in the front. Unmarked.
