A Paine Furniture Co. Chippendale style mahogany sideboard. This Boston made sideboard from the venerable Paine Furniture Co., founded in 1835 and once the largest furniture maker in New England, is in the classic Chippendale style, with carved cabriole legs and claw and ball feet on the front four legs of this sideboard. The two pedestals flanking the higher center, each have one drawer above one door, with the drawer on the right side being lined with green baize and three dividers for silverware. The center section has two long drawers, one over the other; with all of the doors and drawers mounted with brass bat wing plates and bail pulls.
