Signed Mixed Media Painting of a Whimsical Landscape Inspired by Lewis Carroll
Item Details
Acrylic, colored pencil, Pastel
A mixed media painting on paper by contemporary Cincinnati artist Sarah Miller. This piece depicts a quote from Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass overlaying a whimsical landscape. Rendered in a colorful mix of acrylic, pastel and colored pencil, the landscape features a large tree created from patterened geometric shapes. The words ‘this must be the wood, Alice said thoughtfully to herself, where things have no name’ are written in white, accented in orange and purple. This piece is signed in ink to the lower right. Presented behind a white mat, under glass, in a white wood composite frame. A wire hanger is present to the verso.
