Item Details

An antique French carved oak wingback armchair. This ornately carved chair is an interpretation of the Louis XV style, with its three part curvaceous back having pierced and carved oval friezes between the central back and the wings, with further piercing and carving at the crest of the chair; all resting upon carved and moulded cabriole legs. The armchair is upholstered in a damask cloth with a repeating pattern of laurel frets with double welting at the frame and a removable single welt fitted cushion.
