Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Shiraz carpet runner. This wool carpet has a color palette of crimson red, bright orange, electric blue, salmon, rust, golden yellow, forest green, white and navy. It has six pole medallions on a crimson colored field, patterned with trefoils, ‘S’ hooks, birds, boteh, and rosettes. The corner spandrels have sawtooth crenelated edges with lobbed flowers. The main border has a carnation meander pattern, framed with orange and green dot guard borders. It has fringe to either end and it is not marked.
