An original 2017 oil on canvas board painting by contemporary Mexican-American painter Jose Trujillo (born 1982), titled Under the Shade. The painting depicts a loose, expressive view of a dense forest. Wide fields of foliage in shades of green, blue, and yellow are accented by thin, twisting trunks and branches. The painting is signed in black to the lower left and is signed, titled, and dated in black to the verso. It is presented without matting or framing, and a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist is included.
