Vintage French Rococo Style Mantel Clock
Item Details
A vintage French rococo style mantel clock. The clock has an ornate gold-tone finial on a ceramic body with a blue finish with gilded scrollwork and floral accents. The clock has a metal scrollwork and acanthus leaf trim outline to the front and back and a gold-tone bezel and glass door that displays a white face with black Roman numerals and hands. Other features of the clock include a painted Victorian image of a man and woman surrounded by a gold-tone laurel wreath, a brass door to the verso and the clock stands on cabriole legs with lion paw feet. The clock is labeled to the back ‘Made in Italy’.
