An oil painting on canvas attributed to English artist Edward E. Manwaring (fl. 1901-1904). This piece depicts a European town view of brown buildings and a dirt road between them. It is inscribed to the verso with the artist’s name and has an affixed informational sheet about Manwaring. The work is presented in a red-stained wood frame with a gold tone sight edge and wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- craquelure to paint, particularly in the sky; small areas of in-painting to sky; tarnish and wear to gold tone inner edge of frame; nicks throughout frame; wear to finish at corners.
