A signed acrylic painting on canvas titled Elder by Julienne Laverdure (b.1960). Signed by hand to the lower right, the portrait painting depicts a Native American man wearing an elaborate headdress and necklace made of beads and feathers. The painting is presented in a stained wood frame. A wire for hanging purposes, a decal with the title and artist name, and a competition decal are present to the verso of the frame. The painting is accompanied by a short biography about the artist.
