A hand-knotted Chinese area rug. The rug features a central rounded medallion filled with florals in a palette of navy blue and light blue on a cream field. The field is populated by floral palmettes in a matching palette with embellished spandrels. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features a floral pattern on a key style pattern. The rug has an overcast edge, a short Kilim skirt, and a wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
