A colored mezzotint on paper titled Norham Castle, on the River Tweed engraved on steel by Charles Turner; engraver in Ordinary to His Majesty after a drawing by J.M.W. Turner. This mezzotint depicts a quaint river village. Off into the distance, there is a castle at the top of a hill cast in shadow and surrounded by a halo of sunlight. It is signed and titled in plate. Published in London by W.B. Cook in 1824. Marked in graphite in the lower right corner ‘115’ and ‘6064’ to the bottom center edge. It is presented loose without frame or mat.
