Large Aubusson-Style Needlepoint Area Rug
Item Details
A large Aubusson-style area rug. This wool rug features a large medallion with ornate crests and purling vines and floral designs. Arabesque lancet leaves cover the field and pictorial crests adorn each end. The primary border offers a fluted appearance adding depth, in a palette of dusty rose, sage green, peach, olive taupe, powder blue, black and cream. The rug has bound seams to the underside. Unlabeled.

- stray threads on the back are indicative of the embroidery process.
