A collection of ink and gouache illustrations on paper of outdoor scenes by artist and founder of Dover Publications Hayward Cirker. This selection of five works depict a church along a beach, cars driving under a city bridge, a coastal town, and a crowded parking lot in the city. One of the works is titled Inwood and depicts indistinct figures, resembling children playing on a beach. It is titled and dated ‘1976’ by hand in ink to the lower left corner. Affixed to the verso of one illustration is a handwritten note about the history of Sunrise Motor Highway on the South Shore. Some of the works are inscribed by hand a marked with a stamp that reads ‘By the Hand of Hayward Cirker (Ameri. 1917-2000)’. They are presented unframed and without hanging hardware.
