Antique Victorian Marble Top Buffet

Item Details

An antique Victorian buffet with a red and white marble top and walnut base. It has five drawers with burled walnut fronts, brass bail pulls on pierced mounts, brass escutcheons, and dovetail joints, plus a cabinet space to the lower right. The body of the piece is adorned with incised accent lines. No maker’s mark. A hand-written history of the piece from its original purchase in 1884 is included. The marble is marked ‘From Great Western Marble Works Cincinnati Ohio’. Circa 1880s.
