"The Rochester" Converted Kerosene Lamp
Item Details
A vintage converted oil burning lamp. The original oil lamp is The Rochester, first patented in the 1880s. The silver tone metal font has two handles and rests on splayed legs. The heavily embossed surface features bands of palmettes framing a series of scrolled shapes infilled with stylized geometric and leaf motifs. There is a modern finial and a single socket with a rotary switch. Powered on when tested.
