Large c. 1900 Antique French Boulle Mantel Clock
Item Details
A French Boulle mantel clock, circa 1900. Intricate Boulle work adorns the Ormolu mounted, gilded case topped with an angel finial blowing a trumpet above an arched top. Door to the front reveals an ornately framed white dial with black Roman numerals, seconds marked in five second intervals, three key holes and black hands. A gilded relief casting of a child with a basket of flowers accents the bottom of the door panel. Clock stands on ornamental leaf shaped curving feet. German Hermle clock movement marked ‘73 FHS Germany 340-020’. It is a square, spring driven Westminster chime movement. Black wooden case marked 31 to the back. Key included.
