19th Century Oak Ladder Back Rocking Chair

Item Details

A 19th century oak ladder back rocking chair having four curved horizontal slats across the back with sliced side rails and cylindrical hand grips at the arms. The splint seat is generous and the rocker has a turned box stretcher and legs which are split at the rails with peg construction.

  • The chair is being sold to benefit the Warren County Historical Museum.

Condition

- the chair has an appropriate patina and the wear is consistent with age
