A hand-knotted Pakistani Tabriz area rug. This finely knotted rug features a palette of indigo, sky blue, rose, ivory, and sand; beginning with a central diamond medallion displaying boteh and floral motifs surrounded by an abundance of floral motifs on an indigo field with sky blue spandrels. The field is framed in an ornate herati patterned main border with blossom and leaf, and floral meander guard borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Labeled ‘Pak-Tabriz, Fnd: Cotton Pile: Wool, Hand-Made in Pakistan’.
