A signed Nassiri vintage hand-knotted Persian Tabatabe Tabriz room size rug. This rug features an elaborate central floral medallion in a color scheme of green, blue, burnt orange, red and cream over an indigo ground. The field is comprised of floral bouquet forms highlighted by ornamental scrolled spandrels. The compound border displays alternating palmette, floral and sawtooth patterns finished with blue selvedge and natural warp fringe. The rug is signed on one side of the border ‘Nassiri’. The reverse of the rug is unmarked.
