Hand-Knotted Persian Malayer Sarouk Carpet Runner

Item Details

A vintage hand-knotted Persian Malayer Sarouk carpet runner. This runner displays a central floral medallion in pink, teal and cream tones over an abrashed brown ground. The field has a mirrored pattern with floral head forms throughout. The compound border features alternating floral and foliate patterns finished with light brown selvedge and natural warp fringe. The rug has a tag attached which reads ‘Made in Iran, Hand Woven Carpet and Rugs’. The rug has a second numbered tag also attached to the reverse.
