A Chinese four-panel folding screen. This carved wooden screen features a gold painted courtyard scene of lords and ladies, with extravagantly carved details. The screen has a border of birds with a lotus flowers, birds and tree motif to the reverse. The four paneled screen rests upon brass wrapped square feet and is unsigned by maker.
