A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Tabriz wool area rug. The ivory field is infilled with a symmetrical design of arabesques, palmettes, leaves, and flowers, worked in shades of indigo and worn denim blue, turmeric, red, cinnamon, peach, taupe, and gray. Compound minor borders flank the floral principal border in complimentary hues. An overcast ivory selvedge edge and white warp cotton fringe complete this rug. Unmarked.
