Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Area Rug

A hand-knotted Indo-Persian area rug. This rug has a black field patterned with arabesqued vines, palmettes, and leaves in muted greens, yellow-green, and burgundy. The main border has a design of Shah Abbasi palmettes against a cream colored field. It has overcast edges with dense warp fringe to either end and it is not marked.
