A vintage hand-knotted Persian Karaja Heriz wool area rug. This bold rug features a palette of crimson, indigo, cranberry, sky blue, clementine, ivory, sepia, and black, beginning with a central medallion surrounded with rosettes and rectilinear motifs. The field is framed with and X patterned guard with checked compounds and a main animal head border in rust. The rust is finished with overcast selvedges and a short natural warp ivory fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
