A hand-knotted antique Persian Haji Jalili tabriz area rug. The rug features a central medallion in dark brown, taupe, and powder blue on a cream field. The field is populated by floral blossoms in dark blue and brown and is enclosed by a compound border. The border features a herati pattern throughout in a complementary palette with large floral palmettes and endless vines. The rug has an overcast edge and a short fringe to either end. Unmarked.
