A hand-knotted vintage Persian Tabriz area rug. The rug features a central medallion in powder blue, dark blue, and cream on a bright red field. The field is populated by floral blossoms along long stems with embellished spandrels in cream. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features a stylized herati pattern with large floral palmettes and vines in a complementary color palette. It has an overcast edge and a short fringe to either end. Unmarked.
