A vintage Chinese carved jewelry box. This heavily carved Chinese natural color wooden box consists of five relief vignettes of ancient Chinese life, four panels around the sides of the box and one convex high relief panel serving as the hinged lid within a foliate border with the entire box resting on a carved foliate base with four legs beneath. Unmarked.

Condition

- broken lock, chips to wood, back leg missing with nonmatching replacement. Lining of box needs replacement.
