Rookwood Pottery Cardinal and Butterfly Vase

Item Details

A small vintage Rookwood Pottery vase. The bright turquoise piece has been finished with a crackle glaze. A stylized image of a cardinal perched on a branch is on one side of the vase while the other side features two butterflies. The vase is marked with the Rookwood Pottery maker’s mark, the Roman numerals ‘XLV’, and the shape number 6350 on the underside. The number ‘5654’ has been written by hand in ink as well. There is a second vase in lot number 17CIN564-051.
