An original acrylic painting on canvas titled Another Year Older by Indiana artist Alys Caviness-Gober (20/21st century). This Abstract Expressionist-inspired painting is arranged into four vertical complimentary sections, each one featuring a different texture and pattern of brightly mottled colors. The work is signed and titled on the verso in black felt tip pen. It is presented unframed, with a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

Alys Caviness-Gober is a self-taught Noblesville, Indiana artist, writer, and photographer. Caviness-Gober is known for her abstract expressionist style landscapes, figures, and floral compositions. She also taught college level Anthropology courses. Caviness-Gober was the 2017 recipient of the Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artists Program Grant. Her work is housed in several private collections and displayed in Indian galleries such as Logan Street Sanctuary, and Love’s Hangover Boutique to name a few. Currently Caviness-Gober is a juried member of the Hamilton County Artists’ Association.
