A hand-knotted Persian Mehriban carpet runner. This wool carpet runner has a color scheme of coral, peach, aqua, warm brown, olive , and cream. The rug features a pattern of large palmettes, fern-like leaves and flower blossoms on a muted coral-red field. The field is framed by a main herati border with lily guard borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a short natural warp fringe. Unlabeled.

Condition

-faint edge wear, one long edge of runner has damaged spot where, underneath, it looks like the rug has been stretched out. Faintly visible on top by a roughened-looking area of pile and tendency to wrinkle up in that spot.
