An original US pressing of The Mothers of Invention We’re Only In It For The Money (1968) on Verve records with an unbanded continuous groove to both sides of the vinyl with a gatefold sleeve which parodies the artwork of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and original company inner sleeve. Several inconsistencies appear, including track B4 is listed as ‘Lonely Little Girl’ on the label and as ’It’s His Voice on the Radio’ on the inner gatefold; ‘Nasal Retentive Caliope Music’ is misspelled on label but spelled correctly as ‘Calliope’ on cover.; and the matrix number is V6 5045X on rear cover and spine and matrix number V6-5045 on labels.
Condition
- minor blemishes on vinyl and writing on label; shelf wear and seam splits present with writing on back cover; untested.
