1980s "Poverty Sucks" Poster After Jerry Mesmer with Woman and Rolls Royce
Item Details
A vintage poster print on paper after a photograph by Jerry Mesmer from his circa 1970s-80s Poverty Sucks print series (sometimes referred to as the Famous Poster series). The work depicts a color photographic image of a woman in riding attire posing with a wine glass and Rolls Royce in front of a building marked ‘Department of Health, Education and Welfare’. The image is bordered in black with the text ‘Poverty Sucks’ printed in white lettering to the top. It is presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame fitted with a hanging wire to the verso.
