19th Century Coin Silver Flatware Featuring George W. Platt
Item Details
A collection of four coin silver spoons with a coin silver fork from the 19th century. This includes a fork and a spoon in the same pattern with tipped handle by George W. Platt of New York, NY (active 1824-1881), featuring ‘Louis’ engraved on the handles. They are presented with a spoon by Benjamin Marsh of Albany, NY (active 1838-1869; 1880-1896) with ‘JFF’ engraved to the handle and a pair of fiddle handle spoons by Albert Coles of New York, NY (active 1835-1877). Each is stamped to the back with the maker’s mark. The total approximate weight is 3.755 ozt.
