Framed Gucci Silk Scarf by Vittorio Accornero with Mushrooms and Insects
Item Details
A framed Gucci twill silk scarf designed by Italian illustrator Vittorio Accornero (1896-1982). The pattern features a delicate central floral design surrounded by mushrooms growing from piles of autumn leaves around the edges. Fly agarics, false chanterelles, death caps and other forest mushrooms provide resting spots for the insects and other small fauna that fly, hop and scuttle between them. The Gucci name is printed to the lower left corner, and the artist’s name is printed to the upper left. The central imagery is surrounded by a dark green border. It is presented behind glass in a dark wood frame that is wired for hanging.
