Vintage Walking Canes, Including Three with Hidden Blades

Item Details

A group of four vintage walking canes, including three with hidden blades. The sword or dagger canes feature a variety of designs, one of which has a crook handle with bone nodules along the wooden shaft. The blade is decorated with gold tone, foliate motifs and the exterior retains remnants of black paint. Another bladed example has a molded knight attached to the end of the wood and bone-inlaid handle. The black-painted shaft is embellished with carved details as well as a metal chain, a fabric patch, and an applied ‘B’. The third cane has a wooden, gavel-form handle continuing to a silver tone blade, which fits inside a black metal shaft. The final example does not have a blade. It features a solid wood shaft carved with bullfighting scenes. There are red-painted accents.
