Theodore B. Starr Sterling Silver Tea Set

An early 20th century sterling silver tea set from Theodore B. Starr, New York. The service includes a sterling silver footed water kettle and sterling stand, a sterling silver footed teapot and a footed sterling silver coffee pot. Each pot or kettle has bulbous body, paw feet, scalloped rim with scroll chasing, hinged lids topped with urn-form finials. The kettle stand is scroll chasing around the base and it rests on four ball feet. All are hallmarked to the underside with a pictorial dragon, ‘S’, Theodore B. Starr New York, Sterling #587’. The coffee pot and tea pot are monogramed with scripted, ‘FGB’. Total approximate weight: 88.180 ozt inclusive of all materials.
