Two Vintage Japanese Obi-Domes

Item Details

A pair of vintage Japanese obi-domes, used to secure the obi sash worn traditionally with a kimono. One is a Showa Period (1941) clasp in cloisonne illustrating a serpentine dragon, presented in the original box. The second clasp is art deco in style, done in onyx, tiger’s eye and a synthetic sunstone inlay.

  • This item has been evaluated and verified by an independent Graduate Gemologist. (CINTM).
  • All diamond and gemstone grading is done under GIA standards as the mounting permits, where gemstones are present; where mountings impede accurate measurements, (estimated) dimensions are provided. All weights and measurements are estimated and approximate. Industry standard and accepted treatments for gemstones are assumed unless otherwise noted.
