A Royal Doulton First Waltz figurine. This porcelain piece depicts a young woman wearing a red strapless gown with billowing white sleeves. In her right hand, she carries a feathery fan near her waist as she gazes and leans slightly to the right, her brown curly locks falling to the side. White crinolines appear to be flouncing under the red skirt, as the woman moves forward with a right foot in a dainty red shoe, ready to start the waltz. The hollow item is marked to the base with the green stamp ‘Royal Doulton – England – Bone China – First Waltz – HN 2862 – Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd. 1978’.
