Item Details
An antique Swedish walnut small chest of drawers. This mid 19th century chest of drawers in the Karl Johan style is veneered in walnut, figured walnut and burl walnut over pine and retains its original hand chamfered pine back. The top of the chest consists of an inset top above a projecting wide molding coved at the top which follow the clipped corner shape of the rectangular chest; below this are the four hand dovetailed drawers veneered in book matched burl walnut, with a simple key hole for opening the drawers; with the case resting on four inverted obelisk shaped legs. Comes with key. Unmarked.
