An oil painting on burlap tapestry with linen backing of Adam and Eve by listed, French artist Jacques Lamy (1946-2016). This work features Adam and Even picking apples from the tree of knowledge. It is signed in paint to the verso. This work is fitted with hanging ‘O’ rings to the verso.

Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
