Item Details
An East Asian gouache painting on paper of a qilin. The mythological creature is similar to a giraffe with its antlers, hooves, and equine body. An auspicious omen, thought to appear at the arrival or passing of sages and great leaders. Unsigned by the artist. Housed in a gilt wood frame under glass with green matting and decorative wooden dowels. Attached to the glass is a previous auction label.

- minor wear to the frame including chips and scuffing.
