An oil painting on canvas titled Small Statistic by listed artist Briggs Dyer (1911 – 1970). The work depicts a humanoid figure emerging among a chaotic setting constructed with gestural brushstrokes and earth tones. The work is signed by the artist to the lower right corner. Various informational labels are affixed to the verso. Artist name is inscribed to the stretchers of the canvas. Presented without glass, housed in a wood floating frame. Accompanied by a descriptive catalog on Paul LaMantia’ and the artist’s shared exhibition titled Inside Out; drawings and paintings from the 1960’s.

- minor wear and scratches to frame; minor dust residues, craquelure and minor paint loss throughout the composition; a pair of restoration areas visible to the verso of the canvas.
